Outfit: Skater Mini and Printed Pumps

Greetings Fashion Mavens,

I'm back from my mini vacay.....I'll try to stay positive and not drop any subtext about how I want to go back to beach bummin'. But I did more than relax on the beach on my trip. I also took a couple of excursions. One of them included a tour of the island and it was sooooo great! If I could choose a career where I truly was free to do my own thing, I think I would choose to study different cultures through traveling and exploration. I love learning and what better way to do it than to immerse yourself right into the thick of things :-) Maybe I can plan a career change in a few years.....let me just fall back on my shopping and get focused (pray with me, lol).

Before I left for my trip, the bf and I had brunch at a cute little spot downtown. A coworker of mine told me about it and I must admit I'm usually skeptical of just 'one' review, but this coworker and I are both serious foodies so I trusted him, lol. And the food was great!

 

I went for a super simple look as I planned to drag the bf to a couple of stores after brunch *tee hee hee*

 

 

I've had these shoes for years and they are still rocking with me. The heels on these pumps are super thin and I love that. But the 'jungle' print is what truly sold me and the material feels like 'felt'.

 

 

 

 I belted the dress for a simple, chic ensemble. However, I still felt like I was the only member of team overdressed at the restaurant, lol.

 

 

Did I tell you how much I love braids??? I have a hate-hate relationship with my large forehead but even it won't deter me from rocking box braids.
