Outfit: Black and White Chevron Skirt Set

Greetings Fashionistas,

TGIF! I have an exciting weekend ahead of me. My bff is coming to town to help celebrate my birthday. LOVE her!!! We're headed to a concert festival featuring Fantasia, Charlie Wilson, and Doug E. Fresh!!! I.die!!!! I've been wanting to see Fanny in concert for a loooonnnnggg time and I finally get to see here tomorrow. Whoop, whoop! I can't wait.

Until I'm able to give you all a recap, please enjoy the following post featuring an outfit that I was super scared to wear but my bf insisted. I've been working hard to get back in shape. Me and my inner fat girl have been in an 8 year battle. This chick just does not want to be defeated!!! She's super tricky too. But the past month I've been slowly chipping away at her. I'm not completely confident with my progress, but I guess I can't hide my body forever.

Wore this look to dinner earlier this week. I could barely eat because I was afraid of the 'after dinner pudge', lol.

This pic is super deceiving.....I'm really not that thin.  Anyways, I love bringing in a pop of color with anything black and white. It's so eye-catching!

These heels had me leaning.....how embarrassing! I still wore them out, lol.

As long as you are confident in your own skin that is all that matter. Workout to be healthy and before you know it you will lose the weight. You look good and the pop of color was a good choice.

Shanequea, you were gorgeous and fabulous when I met you (via blog), and you are more finer than ever huny, just like wine. Keep up the good work because I am adoring the pay off. I wish I could rock an outfit like this one so you are giving me hope. Thanks for the motivation always and for now pushing me to slap my inner thick girl to sleep too LOL. Love this entire look and the pop of color with the shoes was just perfect.

Girl, you look fabulous but I totally get it! I have been in a love hate relationship with my inner fat girl for years as well. It's hard because I love food and she knows it lol! You look great though and I love the houndstooth print! The pop of color with the heels are perfect with this outfit!
