Outfit: Velvet Tuxedo Blazer Meets Tupac

Greetings Fashionistas,

TGIF!!!! My weekend is full of activities that remind that my life is more than work, work, work! I keep telling folks that mental exhaustion is way more taxing on the body than physical exhaustion. Real talk. Anyways, I'm heading out tonight and then tomorrow I plan to find a really good brunch venue, attend my nephew's bday party at Dave and Buster's (why am I extra excited about that, lol), and support my babe at a poetry event. And you know Sunday is going to be fun because it's Super Bowl time and I'm rooting hard for my homie Peyton Manning! Go Broncos!

Before I go pull out the energy drinks, let me share with you all my look from a week ago. We went to a party and I wasn't in the mood to be the most overdressed person so I combined dressy and casual garments for a little balance.....at least that was the goal anyways, lol.

'All Eyes on Me'.....you gotta be a Tupac fan to understand. I love dressing up casual pieces. The juxtaposition of dressy and laidback garments can very striking.

 

 

 

These boots are so great! I got them for only $9 bucks! I also bought one of my bffs a pair as well. I have "thick calf syndrome" so I thought they were going to be too tight but they fit perfectly! The  style reminds me of Julia Roberts in 'Pretty Woman'. Haute!
