Outfit: A Fascinator and Printed Pants

Greetings Fashion Mavens,

How's it going lovely people? I'm back from my vacation and of course you know I am struggling!!! LOL! I wanted to ease back into work but ummm....yea, that didn't quite work out the way I planned. SMH. So while I'm busy playing catch up, I will work to tweak my blog and introduce some new segments soon. I'm getting bored so I can imagine you all are as well. Social networking was supposed to help enhance my interaction with my readers but I promise I'm getting addicted to fashion voyeurism and it's decreasing my blogging time. Shameful!

A new segment that I'm thinking of introducing is "Own It". I love to add little personal 'out of the box' additions to my outfits, but I usually don't 'own' the look. Well, last week, when I went to brunch with my bf, I decided I was going to own this trendy look......see below.

I'm having a little obsession with fascinators.....I've purchased three so far and I don't think I'm going to stop any time soon. As a result, I decided to stop 'collecting' items and determined that I would actually wear them....shocking!

 

At first, I wasn't really feeling this look.....but then I realized I was being self-conscious. I just werked it like I didn't have a tiny hat on my big head, lol.

 

 

 

Blue is my favorite color......I really wasn't going for 'matchy matchy' but I'm not going to make excuses. The patterns on the pants and clutch clash nicely.

 

 

I rocked this look like it was the new trend and I was a part of the fashion crowd, LOL. Our waitress believed me.....she asked where I got my hat from and actually wrote down the name of the boutique and directions to it!
