Greetings Fashion Mavens,

Welcome back from the weekend....well, extended weekend. I hope everyone enjoyed their Labor Day! I had so much fun....whoo hoo! I have pics that I can't wait to share with you all from the events I attended at the Tom Joyner Family Reunion. It was awesome and I am ashamed to say that it occurs yearly in my city and this was the first time I have ever gone.....SMH. Anyhew, as soon as I edit the photos I will post them on the blog.

On Labor Day, I spent time with the family, per usual, and I must say that the rest of the week will be prison style food portions for me because I was such a fattie! Good grief. I'm so glad I don't live back home anymore. I have changed my dietary habits significantly but my people are a tad slower than me, lol. But I'm proud of them for changing as well. Maintaining good health is a priority. I don't like how I looked in this cute little white dress below but once I had it on, I was committed so you know it wasn't coming off! Every Labor Day I wear white, not to signify the end of "wearing white season", but just because the fashion experts who insist that wearing white after Labor Day is a big no no. They are so dramatic! By the way, I'm going to wear white the rest of the week as well, lol.

Bought this little number a couple of months ago. I'm getting better with closet storing.....seriously!

Simple look I know.....but I hope you don't mind because it was hot as heck!!!!

Love the gentle pleats and buttons. I should pair with a sailor's hat, blue bag and red oxfords next time I wear it, LOL.
