Outfit: Gentle Pleats and Spiked Heels

Greetings Fashion Pad Readers,

Welcome back from the weekend. I hope you all had an enjoyable one :-) I actually was super busy but most of the weekend was really enjoyable. I attended 3 very different events on Saturday. First was a family member's funeral. It was a sad yet relieved moment for our family as we buried my older cousin. She had gotten sick over 3 years ago and to be honest we found joy in the mist of our sorrow that she had finally obtained peace.

After that, I traveled back to O town just in time for my friend's benefit concert. You know you're an awesome child of God when your family and friends put together a concert just for you. Necole, we are praying for you and we love you. I'm gonna have to send her a text to read this because she is soooo slow to read my blog posts, lol. The last event I attended involved my friend's poetry feature. It was an open mic show and he was the featured artist. I was so proud of him!!! But first, let me share with you what I wore to my homegirl's concert.

I love the soft pleats in this skirt. I thought I would toughen up the uber feminine look with a pair of spiked heels.

A statement necklace kept this top from being too bland.

My niece took these photos before I left my mother's home and she told me I needed to get more creative with my poses....o_o. LOL!

These shoes will always get plenty of wear. Perfection!

Necklace - JC Penny
Tank/Skirt - Urban Outfitters
Bracelet - gift from friend
Clutch - BCBG Max Azria
Ring - gift from friend (Alexis Bittar)
Heels - Lorissa by Sam Edelman

Arrivederci!

Pleated skirts are great because they can either be dressed up or dressed down. I really like the shoes you wore with it!
