Outfit: Women's Day Conference

Greetings Fashionistas,

I'm so excited! Why you ask? Well, This Sunday, April 1st is my birthday! WHOOP WHOOP!!!  Yes you read right, I am a fool baby, lol. I'm really crunk when it comes to bdays and my family and friends know this oh so well, LOL. I don't require gifts or anything, but I do require a phone call. April 1st represents the day God decided to gift my mommy and daddy with a fabulous little girl, *tee hee hee*! The good Lord placed me on this earth to make my mark and to assist in the growth of his kingdom. I think I'm doing pretty well in both departments....but of course there's always room for improvement and I'm by no means perfect ;-) Oh yeah, and just so you know, I celebrate alllllllll month long. #letzgetit

On this past Sunday, we culminated our women's conference at my church and it was nothing short of amazing. I'm so happy I actually had the opportunity to participate this year. I feel empowered, inspired, and ready to act. Our colors for the weekend events consisted of shades of purple. And you know what, I realized that I have little to no purple in my wardrobe. Seriously! But I was able to find a blouse and a dress just in time for the events.

I love the side zipper on this skirt.

I dressed the part of the sexy librarian or something. What I was thinking, I have noooo idea. I have to contain these hips, butt, and thighs. Pencil skirts are generally not my friends......more like frenenemy! LOL!

I think I'm going to have my mom cut off about 2 inches from the hem. A little more leg will work wonders for my stature! I look every bit of 4'2 in these pics. SMH On a sidenote, I look sooo tired in these pics. What gives?

Earrings - Burlington Coat Factory
Necklace - gift from friend
Blouse - Express
Belt - Charlotte Russe
Rings - Street vendor
Clutch - Forever 21
Skirt - Asos.com
Heels - Random boutique in Washington D.C.

The sermon was titled "When Women Decide to Take A Stand". It was taken from Exodus 1:15-17. Absolutely inspirational! I recommend you read the entire chapter to understand what was going on in Egypt during this time.

Have a great weekend folks!

Arrivederci!

You styled yourself well! I agree that you should cut a few inches from hem. I would love to hear more about the conference.

Love this skirt on you! I would agree with shortening it up a bit, but you don't have to. It all depends on what look you're going for. I have every bit of hip/thigh that a 5'3" woman can have, and I love me some pencil skirts!

You rocked it well, and I love the shoes.

LOL @ you calling yourself a "Fool Baby"!!
