Reader Request - Date Weekend

Greetings Fashion Divas,

The weekend's rapidly approaching, but until that time, check out this reader request I got from one of my favorite blogger friends, Ebony of Longing 4 Length. Stop by her site cause she's uber fab!!!!

I'm requesting styling for a date weekend in another city. I have no clue what plans entail and I'm trying to be versatile. Help please!!!!

Well of course Ebony, this is what I do! Because plans are a mystery I have decided to include several very different looks. I included an outfit for an "activity" night (i.e. bowling, miniature golf) and an understated, sexy outfit if you guys just so happen to go out for drinks at an upscale lounge or dinner. The other two outfits are to be played by ear. In addition, it sounds like its going to be chilly during your date weekend so I made sure the outfits I created took that into account. Take a look below and I'll walk you through them.

The above set showcases a classy, yet sexy sweater dress that will fit your curves in all the right places. This is the look you can rock if you guys go for the upscale restaurant/lounge OR grown and sexy outing such as a live jazz show. If it turns out to not be as cold, just remove the leggings and leave the trench at home. You can keep the booties for a more edgy look, or switch to pumps.

Now you know I couldn't possibly leave the blazer out of my recommendations right? I think choosing a relaxed fit blazer in an eye-catching color against black garments will exude effortless style and you will come off as "low maintenance" to your dude (which is a good thing, lol). This outfit would be cool if you guys decided to go to a comedy club OR an indoor athletic event. You will be super cute but not overdressed!!!

I personally love the above look. The chunky, chic sweater goes well paired with the bodycon skirt. This outfit is very versatile as well. It can be worn in several different types of settings.....indoor, outdoor, house party, dance lessons (i.e. salsa), karaoke, art show, concert, etc.

This last set will work if you're going bowling OR headed to a cooking class together,. If you decide to do something more laid-back, like walking around a downtown area, switch the sky high pumps to a pair of platform wedges....they will be waaaayyyyy more comfortable, trust! Also, switch the hobo purse to a wristlet so you won't have to worry about toting around a bag.

Ebony, I hope these sets I created give you some good date ideas. Of course the combinations of items are just for inspiration; if you have other garments that you can combine to achieve a similar, versatile outfit, go with that. And as always, have fun hunni and be safe!!!
