Hello,

I'm looking for help with some outfit ideas for a party I'll be attending this upcoming weekend. We'll be doing a lot of dancing, mainly stepping, so I would love to wear something I can easily move in, but is still chic and stylish. I can work with something fitted too. The color theme for the party is black and red.

Okay Ann. I got you! I love styling and it really gets exciting to create an entirely different look using a specific color combo. This request takes me back. When I used to dance, some of our competition costumes included dresses, shorts, spandex pants, and pom-pom skirts. The goal was to be able to maximize movement, without having to deal with restrictive clothing. However, to keep it modern, and from looking like you're about to enter a dance competition, we're just going to stick with the grown, sexy, and stylish looks below ;-)

Ann, I think the dress above, or something similar, really allows you to keep your look relaxed, but super stylish as the cutout along the bodice gives the right amount of sex appeal and the flared skirt will look super hot while you twirl around the dance floor. The blazer is just to make a stylish entrance and departure ;-) We know that will come off as soon as you hit the dance floor.

This set will work well if you wanna go for a more laid back look. Bring out the all black attire with pants that will allow you to work the floor AND keep it sexy. Incorporate a pop of red with a hot pair of heels that you can stand wearing for more than 4 hours (hint....platform-style is the best).

The above set delivers an ode to the lady in red. This dress is a classic, shape enhancing number that will turn heads. But beware..... this garment is only for the grown and sexy so be ready for the stares! To take this look up a notch I would definitely suggest adding a pair of booties for a more edgy vibe.

I know this dress looks restricting, however, its the material that allows it to be a good candidate for your party attire. It has about 2% lycra that allows for great stretch and thus, awesome movement. The LBD is a must wear.....and the addition of a thin red belt will put you right on theme!
