Greetings Fashionistas,
Happy Friday good people!!! I'm gonna work half a day then head up to my Alma Mater, Florida A&M University, for Homecoming celebrations! Okay, I'm not actually going to any celebrations or even the game. However, I am intending to hit up some street vendors and get some new jewelry pieces. I especially love the bold African designs (so excited). I also plan on tailgating with my family. I miss my sister, which is the main reason I'm going, so I plan to shower her with love and sisterly affection. I.can't.wait!!!
Last night I again attempted to get my laugh on at the Improv comedy show. This time I went to see Guy Torry. Yea, I too had to think really hard to place him and put a name with a face. He starred alongside Martin Lawrence in the move "Life", played a convict in the movie "American History X", etc. Hey, my friend was able to get us free tickets. Anyhew, I'm so glad we went because he was Hi-la-ri-ous!!!! If you have not seen the Guy Torry experience you must go NOW! I laughed and laughed and I'm still chuckling as I type this post. LOL! I thought he was creative, worked the stage well, was a lil dirty but definitely in a tasteful way (sounds weird but you had to hear it to understand), and he engaged the audience. Obviously I'm a new fan. Okay, that's my Guy Torry plug for the morning. I'm going to plug him again in a couple of hours to my coworkers, lol.
Now on to the outfit. I was waiting for a chance to sport my new blazer. It's nothing over the top; just a perfect heather grey hue that I've been scouting for a while. I was going to come up with something else to wear due to the new Bloggers Do It Better challenge but I will try to incorporate animal print some other time this weekend ;-)
Arrivederci!

Sooooo.......my camera died. It really messed me up because I was already sad to hear that the absolutely innovative Steve Jobs passed away from pancreatic cancer. Of course I know the 2 are totally different but I was like, dang, this dude changed the face of technology and multiple other industries with his visions and creativity. And his designs last like 4 ever!!! I'm using the Evo for now. It takes great photos but I had to do a little photo shopping due to the lighting and it really alters the pixels.
My favorite new blazer.....until the next one ;-)
I pulled out my very versatile Furla handbag/clutch thingy, lol.
Sorry for the rough edge to my jeans but it was a super quick DIY hem.....actually, I rather like it so there.

2. That blazer is PERFECT! Reminds me that I need to take all my recently thrifted blazers to the cleaners! The weather is finally getting cool enough for me to wear them. Yay! I got a gray one in my last haul, too.
3. Love the combination of blazers and t-shirts. so chic.
4. Love the bag. Just enough color!
5. I have those shoes!
