Outfit: Chicago Style Part III

Greetings Fashion Friends,

Today is my last recap of my travel adventures. I barely took any pics of myself on my last day because I was busy trying to spend a peaceful and relaxing final day of my mini vacay.

We started off our day really late (it felt great sleeping in for a change). Then, with my tummy rumbling, we headed to Jim's for a polish sausage. It was freakin' delicious!

It was a beautiful day but super hot so I had to go with lightweight materials and shorts.

Waiting on my order at Jim's

The pics below reflect my visit to the gorgeous Buckingham Fountain located in Grant Park.

I absolutely LOVE waterfalls! I freaked when I saw it for the 1st time.

The fountain, which was built in 1927, is influenced by the "Bassin de Latone" at the Versailles Palace near Paris.

The fountain is about 23 ft high and is surrounded by 4 pairs of seahorses that symbolizes the 4 states bordering Lake Michigan. Supposedly, the fountain represents the lake itself. It's said to be one of the largest fountains in the world! Sorry for the history lesson......I love to learn.

It was really windy!!!

Chicago is a great city. It's really fun and there are tons of things to do. I highly recommend a trip to this swanky town. It has great culture, a good vibe, and some very influential people have hailed from the city (President Obama, Harrison Ford, Kanye West, Common, Robin Williams, Jill Scott, etc.). On the flip side, it's pretty pricey and the sales tax is quite steep. In addition, it's not an ideal place to raise a family in my humble opinion....not just because of the crime, but the fact that everything is so spread out (daycare, schools, social activities, cost of living, etc.). But I would definitely visit.....often!

Arrivederci!

I absolutely love Chicago. It has to be one of the greatest cities in the world. I see lots of fashion bloggers are doing the black/white striped shirt. I just ordered one today. This is the first time on your blog. You have a new follower.
