Award Show Fashion Recap

Greetings Fashion Pad Readers,

I'm sure most of you are aware that the 2011 BET Awards went down last night at the Shrine Auditorium in LA. I wasn't able to watch the actual show in its entirety because I was busy making money at work ;-) To say the least, I was a bit irritated because I missed the fashions. I had to catch up via the 'ol reliable.....the world wide web.

Below I've posted a few pics of my favorite looks. I hope I didn't miss too many fashion fab divas as the pics I looked through became pretty redundant after awhile.

106th and Park BET host Rocsi Diaz reminded me a little of a "Dancing with the Stars" look in her little mini. However, I still think she made a valiant effort in the fashion department as her style was unique, her hair and makeup were on point, and she looked confident.

Miss Kelly looked gorgeous in her Marchesa mini with assymetric ruffles down the length of the dress. Her bod is sick! I heard she rocked the heck outta her performance. I can't wait to see it.

I love Keke Palmer. This young lady is so classy and always age appropriate with her fashion choices. Her she rocks a fitted black and silver sequin mini. Gorgeous skin Keke!

Kerry Washington was a bright vision of loveliness in her Michael Kors gown. She looks so cool and comfy. Those black Loubs work well to offset the bright hue of her gown.

Oh Tika! I thought I was truly over Herve Leger on the carpet....but then Miss Sumpter's gorgeous self looks tres' fab in Herve!!! That white number is the bizness. Loves it!

So did I include some of your favorites? Any divas you guys thought werked the carpet?

Pics spotted at NecoleBitchie.com, MissJia.com, Celebritysnap.com

Arrivederci!

Kelly and Kerry Washington win Look of the Night.

On another note- I don't know if you saw any of the other pics, but is it just me or did a lot of the stars looked "throwed away"?

just sayin.

It is NOT just you. I totally agree. No effort was made at all. Seriously, what were they doing? I was extremely disappointed to say the least.
