Outfit: Scholarship Gala

Greetings Fashionistas,

During the Christmas holidays I attended a scholarship gala by the Jewett Alumni Association in my home town. I always like to go back because I received a scholarship from the organization to go to school. They recognize bright young seniors who've achieved scholastically during their tenure in the primary education system. I plan to continue to give back to help other young kids achieve their goals of a higher education. For the event, I pulled out an old dress from the back of my closet to wear.

This wasn't one of my better choices as the satin revealed every part of my anatomy that I like to keep under wraps........mainly my hips. SMDH

Then again, I am posing in a wide stance so the material of the dress is stretched.

I bought these shoes only 2 hours prior to the event. I couldn't believe that I didn't own a gold pair of heels.

As you can see, the length of the hem hits below my knees. That is not an ideal length for a chick of my stature. I'm considered petite so above the knee is preferable so I won't look stumpy.

Oh well, you win some and you lose some.
