Reader Request - Daytime Sequins

Greetings Fashion Pad Readers,

I'm so happy to be back posting AND back at home. San Diego was beautiful, fun, and exciting. I must go back when I'm not working. That way I'll get to explore more of the city.....and really do more intensive shopping, lol. I came back on a red eye flight from Los Angeles and there was a baby on the flight that cried all 4 hrs and 26 minutes of the flight.....literally. No sleep for me, or the other travelers. I was telling a friend of mine that I have yet to travel on a flight where there was no baby crying constantly or a little kid kicking the back of my seat or acting out. He said that's impossible, but I told him I was serious. Just sad.

Anyhew, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I have a reader request that I'm finally getting to. I'm sorry readers I've been so behind, I could have an entire 14 day stretch of reader request posts. But please don't count me out guys. I'm going to do better.....promise ;-) Below is a request from Jenine. Thanks Jenine for the friendly reminder. Everyone else waiting in the wings, I'll double up this week and next to get caught up. Thanks again for your patience and continued support. Now on to the request.

Hi FashionPad,

I bought this shirt from Topshop because I thought it was so cute and I wanted to have a blinged out style when I went out. Well now I think I want to wear it during the day. I know I've seen people doing it but I'm just not sure how to pull it off. Can you help me?

Why of course Jenine. I'm going to categorize this request as a style challenge. The top is cute by the way. The key to pulling this look off is to complement the blouse with daytime garments. I used Polyvore.com to create this look and low and behold, the top already has fans because I didn't even need to download the image. Sweet! See below for an example of what I mean.

Neutral accessories really knock down the bling factor of the blouse. Destroyed denim shorts give it a casual feel and the large hobo and aviators convey a laid back chic style.

Hope this example helps Jenine!
Au revoir!
