Spring '10 Trends - Lace Up Oxfords

Greetings Fashionistas,

Happy Friday lovely people. I'm so happy it's Friday and I'm looking so forward to the weekend :-) I hope you all have some fun and exciting things going on. I have a retirement/b-day party to attend for one of my awesome uncles and then I don't know what else I'm getting into. I'll just wing it.

Today is our last day for spring 2010 coverage of the trends (as an entire post anyway). I'll definitely post some other trends throughout the season as well but these trends have had the largest impact on the fashion runways. Today we're looking at.....Lace Up Oxfords!

Now this trend I really like because it brought nostalgic moments to me as I used to rock the heck outta some oxfords when I was younger. I don't know if I'll try out this particular trend this time around but I think it's super neat that my 11 year old niece wants a pair. I'm gonna get 'em for her this weekend. She is definitely deserving of them.

There have been several celebs getting into this trend as well.

On the left, Sienna Miller pairs her oxfords with denim leggings, a button down, and a blazer for a coffee run through SoHo. On the right, Corrine Bailey Rae jazzes her pair up with a striped dress, patterned stockings, and scarf. I love how Corrine complements her oxfords. Cute look!!!

Rihanna rocks out her oxfords while leaving JFK's airport

Let's see what's available in stores right now:

Jal-Jacko Glittered Oxfords
Of course Forever 21 takes it there with their Dorothy/Michael Jackson glittered oxfords.
Steven by Steve Madden 'Melin' Oxford
This pair reminds me of the 1920's. Just a tad bit too much for me.

Women's Brogue shoe
$59.98 (on sale) http://www.aldoshoes.com/
This subtle gold pair wouldn't be out of my comfort zone at all.

Candie's Tuxeddo shoes
$24.99 (on sale) http://www.kohls.com/
These resemble the pair that Rihanna is wearing in the above pic. I betcha these are easier on the wallet.

Bass 'Enfield' Lace-up Saddle Shoes
I totally had the above saddle shoes in black and white. Loves it!

Bass Driftwood Women's Eddie Shoe
$55.00 http://www.shoes.com/

This tan pair will go great with a variety of colors.
So, are we feeling this trend???
Au revoir!
