So I was looking in my closet yesterday when I got home from class and decided I needed a little classy black mini dress. Yes, yes, I know what you're thinking, I do have several black dresses but only one style is a mini and it's sleeveless. I want a style that has some sharp modern details but a classic shape and sleeves.
Low and behold I ran across this dress below and was immediately intrigued. It's exactly what I'm looking for and the fact that it's on sale at a really decent price is an added bonus.

I love those exposed zippers and tapered waist. It's definitely on my list of items to scoop up. However, as I perused Forever 21's site, I saw a similar style to the one I like above. See below for this affordable alternative:

The only construction detail the above dress is missing is the deep v-neckline. It's a cutie but the "silk" part of it is making me a little nervous about getting it. I'll run by there today and see what it looks like and maybe try it on. Full report tomorrow!
