Fall 2009 Women's RTW Shows - Part V

Greetings Lovely Divas,

Here's my final coverage of Fall '09s RTW collections. I'm feeling the direction the designers have taken this season. The use of colors (because Fall colors are usually drab), the strong silhouettes (courtesy of the emphasis on the shoulder), and the combined use of different fabrics (furs, silk, chiffon, leather, etc.). Great collections!!!

Carlos Miele

Slim pants, minimal but impactful embellishments, furs, and silk paraded down the runway.

Calvin Klein

Calvin Klein's use of color was almost non-existent, however, I really like how he used different fabrics of black to create his looks.
J. Mendel

A very structured line with copious use of fur and silk. The dress above is astounding!
Matthew Williamson

I love Matthew's use of colors. It has a Spring feel to it but the cut and silhouettes are right for Fall.

Zac Posen

Zac always focuses his designs on the feminine form. I love how the waist is the emphasis, with some shoulder focus as well. I also like the blends of color and Fall florals.

TTFN!
