From Day to Night

It's not as hard as you think to transition an item from day, to night out on the town. I have to do it all the time because of my hectic schedule. Some days I just don't have the luxury to create an entirely new look so I use accessories to help achieve my day to night transition. Other times, when I have a chance to run home really quick I plan my outfits around a central piece that will work in both settings. In Part II, I've transitioned a ruffled blouse from office chic to edgy diva. A superb contrast that works well in both settings. The ruffles on the blouse work nicely to soften up all that leather. It basically adds a "girly" touch.

In Part III, we take a simple, yet chic shift dress from stylish office professional to glam, stylish diva. Accessories are the key to transitioning an article of clothing because they can either dress it up, or dress is down. For example, if I had taken away the tights, added some gladiator sandals and a cloth shoulder bag, and paired with simple silver hoops, you could easily look as if you're going to run errands or meet a couple friends for lunch.
