Shorts! Shorts! Shorts!

Okay...shorts for summer? Yeah I know, a no-brainer right? Well these babies have taken on a more high fashion role this season and I'm loving it. Cut-offs are still in but tailored, cuffed, and high-waisted shorts are what's in high demand. I've scouted several stores and online boutiques and the styles below are some of the ones I really liked. Check them out!

Citrus paisley short $100.00 http://www.jcrew.com/
It's no longer a "faux pas" to wear heels with short shorts anymore. However, please be aware that the shorter the hemline (please keep it classy ladies) the more conservative the top needs to be. Try a billowy blouse or a long sleeved shirt to complement.
Diane von Furstenberg Jeni Short $165.00 http://www.shopbop.com/
The graphic print on these shorts is hot. This look is perfect for all my petite divas. It elongates the legs therefore giving the illusion of a "taller" you. LOL!
Julie Haus Hi Waist Frida Short $198.00 http://www.chickdowntown.com/
For the above high-waist shorts, I would add an embellished tank or a solid tank with a wide belt. Pure perfection!
Alice + Olivia Rosette High Waisted Short $198.00 http://www.bloomingdales.com/
If the short hemline is a still a little too much for you, try to add a blazer for a more structured look, and roll up the sleeves of the blazer. Make sure you wear a cute open-toe or round-toe flat. You'll feel a lot more confident and definitely less uncomfortable with your bare legs.
Well like I said before, our usual suspects are still very "in" as well. Skip the blue denims and go with bold colors this season. Not only is it one of the many trends out right now, but it just really makes your entire ensemble pop.

Women's Clean-Front Shorts $12.00 http://www.oldnavy.com/

Iconic Bermuda $34.00 http://www.dockersstore.com/

Ladies, if you're concerned about finding shorts that will flatter a pear shape, the above bermudas are ideal and believe me, they work for you and not against you!

Also, if you believe you have spots, cellulite, or any other skin issues that we sometimes create for ourselves (in our heads), my friend says she uses a body foundation to help blend her problem areas. Cool, whatever floats your boat. Check out your local beauty stores to find this item.

Enjoy the summer offerings!

TTFN!
