I pose this question because a couple of my readers have asked me the same thing. I don't believe anything is truly ever out of fashion because it's such a revolving door. Right now, the trend is corset-style belts but not every one can wear that style. For example, if you have a short torso, you may want to wear a slim belt as opposed to a wide one to prevent yourself from looking stumpy.
