Review: eShakti - International Fashion Retailer

I was contacted by fashion retailer eShakti to review one of their garments. eShakti offers a fresh concept in fashion.....customization.  The international retailer offers affordable fashion that is customized to your requests through alterations in the style of the garment, exact size measurements, and length. Now I don't know about you, but I love the concept of having control over the fit of my item as well as the ability to alter the style. Needless to say, I jumped at the opportunity to review one of their products!

I chose the above maxi dress to review from eShakti. I customized my order by requesting the halter neckline. The dress originally had two thin straps.

 

 

 

I love the color and print of the garment.

 

 

 

OMG, I did not realize it had pockets!!!! SWEET! I swear you can get me to buy almost any dress with the addition of pockets, lol.

Pros - The customization feature on eShakti's website is 2nd to none in terms of allowing the customer to feel as if they have contributed to their very on creation. The dress I selected was constructed well and I really love the print and color. I provided my height as requested and I was really happy that the length of the dress ended right at my ankles, as opposed to "pooling" on the floor like most maxi dresses in my closet (I'm vertically challenged). The amount of time it took for me to order the dress and receive the shipment was excellent. I received my dress in less than 2 weeks time! For a customized product from a large retailer........that's pretty awesome.

 

 

Cons -  The fit of the dress was approximately 1 and 1/2 sizes too large. My niece said I looked huge in the dress....ummm, so not good coming from a 16 year old. Also, the material used to construct the dress is a little uncomfortable. It's probably a basic cotton, which can be soft, but once it's treated with dyes, it can get a little rough. This also makes it a challenge to stay wrinkle-free.

 

Overall - I would definitely recommend eShakti despite my personal cons. The vast selection of items, excellent customer service, and prompt shipping are three great reasons to give this fashion retailer a try. Additionally, the company offers sizes from 0-36W and they offer both ready-to-wear AND customized clothes!
