Outfit: Short, Floral Kimono and Distressed Denim

Greetings Fashion Mavens,

I'm back from another quick getaway. This time, my girls and I traveled to Washington D.C. to visit the National Museum of African-American History and Culture. It was AMAZING!!!! I really think the organizers did a really great job. Please please, puh-lease....if you have the opportunity to visit the museum, GO. It was a wonderful experience!

I promise I will retire my kimono layering after this post, lol. I just love the pop of color and the silk, cool feeling they evoke. With these crazy hot temps, I need a cool layering piece.

I found this straw basket while thrifting. At first I put it back on the shelf because I thought it was too bulky. Then as I walked around the store I kept thinking about it and the many ways I could use it (outfit accessory, picnic basket, etc.). I ran back and scooped it up before anyone else could get their hands on it, lol

.....the wind wouldn't let me be great *le sigh*
