Outfit: Making a Statement

Greetings Fashionistas,

It's Friday and I'm so ready to get out the house. I think date night tonight will consist of the traditional dinner and a movie. I've been waiting to see X-Men since the first trailer was released! I'm not a complete movie buff.....however, when it comes to action movies and particularly comic heroes.....I'm all in :-)

My last date night look was rushed....and pretty much thrown together. But the keys to last minute ensembles is to do either one of two things:

1.) Go with a simple palette (i.e. simple pants and top) and elevate the look with statement accessories

2.) Choose a focal garment (i.e. printed dress or shimmery top and jeans) and accessorize with items that complement your focal point.

In the case above, I chose number 1. It turned out well in my opinion ;-)

I love a good heel. I hadn't worn these beauties in a while so I had to bring them out to play. Blue is my favorite color and this hue is lovely. Also, it doesn't hurt that the heels, while high, are very comfortable. Sweet!!!
