Greetings Fashion Pad Readers,
Welcome back from the weekend! It's a beautiful start to the week and I am going to keep this mantra in my head while I drag myself in to work ;-) I don't know if I told you all, but I am on a spending hiatus for Lent with my church. Ummm.....it's been quite challenging but definitely doable. We are not allowed to use our debit/credit cards for 40 days. That means no eating out, shopping, only buying what is necessary and of course that is limited to (groceries, gas, bills, etc.) I now have less than a month to make it (April 19th). I've saved a lot of money.....however, other things do take the place of usual habits. For example, my car decided it wanted to spend some quality time with the mechanic, and then I got sick and had to go to the doctor and get medicine. But still, I'm doing pretty good with my finances. To be very blunt.....I shop too dang much and eat out too much. When this Lent season is over, I will be changing quite a few habits permanently.
Adeus!

I've been wearing quite a bit of black and white lately. I didn't even realize it until I started editing some photos I'd taken recently. I don't know what gives.....
I wore this look to church a few Sundays ago but I also had a shawl that accompanied it because I was uncomfortable with my uber fitted skirt.
This skirt has been in my closet for over a year with no hope of seeing the sun, lol. That is until this spending hiatus came about and I was forced to 'shop my closet'. I've been popping tags left and right, which again confirms my commitment to making some serious permanent changes with my shopping.
I really like this skirt but it had me walking like a Japanese Geisha, lol. It hugs my curves obsessively and would not let me break free!
