Outfit: Colored Trousers and Stacked Pumps

Greetings Fashion Friends,

Happy Hump Day!!!! Last night I attended my boo's open mic show and there was this guy who impressed the heck out of me with his poetic flow. This dude was ill!!! I love people who study their craft and continue to validate their skills by increasing their knowledge base. This guy used metaphors, simile, current events, etc. That's equivalent to me saying I'm a pharmacist but never studying to improve my learning base or studying about new drugs. My point is this, never ever take your talents for granted. Always work hard to keep your skills on point. He inspired me to get back to reading one journal article a week so I can stay on track.....I've been slacking lately. Has anyone given you a reality check lately? I personally needed that.

I was going to go with a super casual look for the show but I changed my mind because I wanted to wear my new pumps......and pants.

So glad these pants fit. It's hard buying 'bottoms' online because you never know how it will work out. However, my advice to you is to stick with brands/retailers you frequent, pay attention to the material (i.e. jersey, lycra, cotton), and make sure they have an extensive sizing chart.

Love the look of these heels......not the feel. They are a little 'snug' but I hope they get better because they really made an impression ;-)

These earrings look like two huge saucers!!! I love them :-)

If I looked tired, it's because I was.......

I agree with you, talented people should share their craft :), me, I'm too scared to do that; maybe one day.

You got the shoes!! They are haute, but I don't like hearing they are snug. Did you get your regular size or did you go up a size? I so want a pair, but I don't want to get them and they won't fit right. I might have to take a trip to Zara store we have here and try them on.

Fashion Pad said...

Thanks boo! I've been transitioning for a year and a half. My relaxed hair was really long and I refused to do the big chop!

Girl I always get my size. Especially because I'm not able to try them on. I would suggest u try them on in Zara.
