Reader Request - Accessorizing my Romper

Greetings Fashion Mavens,

I have a reader request to share with you all from Kristi:

I am wearing this romper next Saturday, minus the belt, yuck, lol. Can you help me with shoe and accessory ideas?

Thanks in Advance

I love the colors in this romper! So vibrant for summer. I will definitely help you accessorize your fit. Let's jump right into the shoes first.

Reader Request - Accessorizing a Romper

High heels / Steve madden shoes / Dorothy Perkins high heels, $47 / Vince Camuto peep toe shoes / Jane Norman high heels, $78 / Penny Loves Kenny strappy sandals / High heels / Platform heels / Anne Michelle high heel shoes / Zara shoes / Platform heels

I.) As I stated above, the romper is pretty vibrant so I would suggest the following:

1. Choose a neutral heel. This would allow the colors to pop and the focus will remain on your garment.
2. Pair with a black heel. Whenever you have a busy print, it's wise to minimize any competition from complementary items. The black hue would also "tone" down the colors as well.
3. Rock a colored heel. If you choose this option, I would highly suggest a color that is a little darker, such as the fushia or blue colors above in your romper, or choose a color that will pull out the undertones of the design such as the mustard colored pumps above.

Reader Request - Accessorizing a Romper I

Gold clutch / Mar Y Sol raffia clutch, $82 / Miss Selfridge black clutch / Jane Norman glitter clutch, $39 / J by Jasper Conran gold clutch, $31 / A|Wear gold clutch, $31 / Dorothy Perkins oversized clutch, $34 / Patent leather handbag

II.) A clutch would be such a classy and versatile addition to the above romper

1. The same color options apply as I outlined for the shoes.
2. To add a little interest, choosing a textured material, shimmer, or one with studs will increase the style quotient
3. Stay away from prints because they will surely compete with your romper. Not a good look.

Reader Request - Accessorizing a Romper II

Oversized earrings / Panacea chain earrings / Charlotte Russe armor ring / Elie Tahari 14k jewelry / Mango round ring, $16 / Mango hoop earrings, $28 / Wet Seal tear drop earrings / Daytrip teardrop earrings / Gold ring / ASOS neon jewelry / Ring / Charlotte Russe filigree ring / Forever 21 daisy earrings

III.) Statement jewelry is a must

1. I wouldn't recommend a necklace with the romper unless you consider a delicate, small pendant. Anything larger would be a tad overwhelming.
2. A statement earring and a necklace would be the perfect complements to this garment. They would be flashy, yet allow the romper to take center stage.
3. If you insist on bracelets, add a single item or thin bangles.

Thanks Kristi for the request and I hope you were able to use a couple options above to get your fit together. Have fun and stay stylish!!!

 Arrivederci!

love the bold print

I would go with all black accessories, maybe shinny ones and some big earrings, because of the V neck style I wouldn't put a necklace.

Cute Romper, I am feeling the concept of electric blue accessories with it.

The romper is very cool & I totally agree you should style it without the belt..for the shoes i'll go with either the Zara heel or the black leather peeptoe platform pumps, one of the black purses, and a variety of gold & black accessories.
I chose the black and gold to accessorize the outfit because of how bold & colorful the romper is.

Can't wait to see how you'll style it!
