Fashion Show Recap - Curvy Girls Unite

Greetings Fashionistas,

TGIF my amigas and amigos! I'm feeling much better now that my AC has been repaired and my presentation has been submitted. I speak at a pharmacy conference on Saturday with a ton of my old professors in attendance...YIKES! Please pray for me. I wouldn't want to get super nervous and do a horrible job when I know darn well that I know this information inside and out. I am also planning on attending a free block party Saturday evening. That should be fun. Tom Joyner is hosting and the old school group Cameo is performing. Whoop, whoop! Sunday will hopefully be a chill day after I get home from church....we'll see.

A couple of weeks ago I attended a fashion show that my homegirl worked as the head stylist. The show featured curvy girl fashions and when I tell you the models were werking the stage!!! It was a really good show and my friend did a fabulous job....so proud of you Dawana! Take a look at some of the highlights from the show below.

This layered, off the shoulder tunic was one of my fav looks of the evening. It received quite a few oohhs and awws. Wish I could have gotten a closer pic but the chick didn't work the entire stage. Clearly an amateur, LOL.

I stepped out of my comfort zone and went for a colorful palette. I just had to add a blazer for a polished look.

As you can see I took the Loubs out for a spin. Thank goodness they were comfortable. I was worried.

I told you guys I'm into cutouts. This dress had side "vents" that I love!
