Outfit: Rattler Pride

Greetings Fashionistas,

TGIF!!!! This has actually been a really good work week. I got a lot of things accomplished but I didn't even feel stressed. Now THAT works well for me. Gotta do it more often, lol. I abhor going into the weekend feeling fatigued.....it's hard to enjoy yourself when you're falling asleep before 9pm, lol. #workingprofessionalproblems

Below are some pics from the Florida Classic where my Alma Mater, Florida A&M University (FAMU Rattlers), played our rivals, Bethune-Cookman University (BCU Wildcats). We lost, but I had a fab time kicking it with family and friends! I also hit up some street vendors...per usual....and scooped up me some new, unique and uber fab accessories. In addition, I sampled a variety of foods both outside and inside the stadium (I'm such a greedy heffa). But, I think what's most important to this particular platform is that I managed to look fly, laidback, stylish, and comfortable at an HBCU football game. SCORE!

Forget the outfit I'm loving my hair in this photo, LOL!

This has got to be one of the best, well made blouses I've purchased from Forever 21.....no lie. It's my new favorite!

I need another pair of oxfords. These shoes are just so darn versatile. The next ones I purchase need to be black, or contain some kind of pattern.

I'm showcasing some awesome accessories handmade by Amy's Creations...The Best in Jewelry
She actually lives in NY and has a shop at the corner of 125th St and St Nicholas (Accessible to trains A, B, C, and D)
You're also welcome to contact her via email at uniquejewels@earthlink.net

I love promoting emerging designers!!! Especially when they're gifted with an eye for style. As soon as her site is up I will let you guys know. She has some super fabulous jewelry including bracelets/cuffs, necklaces, and earrings.....and amazing clutches (made from real leather). My lovely friend Jesenia (shout out to you boo) bought these for me at a natural hair expo where she met Amy. #love

Necklace/Top/Jeans - Forever 21
Ring - Street vendor
Watch - Georgio Armani
Oxford shoes - Gojane.com

The stadium was on that sardine tip....AWESOME!!!! It was a beautiful sight. A huge portion of the ticket sales go to scholarship programs and other things for both universities.

The tuba section of the world-renown Marching 100. Please remember to pray for the family of the drum major who died shortly following this game. Unfortunately hazing is suspected to be the cause of death :-(

These are the Wildcats of Bethune-Cookman University. We may be rivals but its really all love.

The Marching 100 created a boat.

Tribute to the veterans of our military branch.

Show's over!

Arrivederci!

I was supposed to go to the Florida Classic but I was sick :( You look amazing! I feel so sorry for the family on the man who was killed. I know the band members are crushed. Your photos are amazing. FAMU played against USF and I love The Marching 100. Great post!
