Outfit: Conservative Party Style

Greetings Fashion Friends,

I was able to get tons of rest yesterday so I feel muuuccchhhh better today. My coworkers shunned me yesterday and told me to go home. Well, okay then, lol. I must tell them thank you because that sleep really allowed my body to make some much needed repairs. I'm still not 100%, but as long as I'm on the road to positive recovery I'm good :-)

So this past weekend my bff and I headed to a "grown folks" event associated with our Alma Mater. I thought it was going to be more of a lounge type event but it ended up being a club like setting. I don't club anymore so I was out of my element and dressed waayyy too conservatively, lol. Oh well. It was okay, but we left early becasue we were bored. But not before we saw several young men who clearly haven't been out in a while. Muscle shirts at a party....seriously???? Please don't tell me they're bringing those atrocious garments back!

I blame this grainy photo on the bestie, LOL. Yea I could have deleted it, but then I wouldn't be able to talk about her lack of photography skills ;-)

I'm debuting another vintage purchase.....this lovely sequined blouse I purchased 2 months ago. It's so comfortable and really lightweight...surprising because it looks heavy with all the sequins on it.

I love black and gold. It's such a rich combination!

I'm really covered up here. Usually, when I go out I love to have my legs showing. It's the most skin I'm comfortable with revealing.

Hmmm......I think this top is from the disco era. But I'm not sure. I guess I should have asked.
