Recap - Bff Birthday

Greetings Fashionistas,

Happy Friday! It's been a great and productive week so I'm not complaining, but it's also been tiring as well. I need some retail therapy but I promised myself that I'd budget better for my shopping excursions and well, I haven't decided what my clothing and accessories stipend is gonna be either per month...... or per paycheck. This is gonna be the most difficult thing I've ever done......scaling back on clothes. I'm so used to just getting what I want. I mean, my purchases are usually reasonable, but if I want to be retired 10 years before the rest of society, I guess I better get serious about building my nest egg. I keep trying to tell myself shopping my closet is not a bad thing. I discover hidden treasures in there all the time, LOL.

Well on to today's post. A couple of weeks ago I took my bff out for her birthday. Yay! We tried a Hawaiian fusion restaurant called Roy's and it was pretty darned good.

Isn't black supposed to be slimming???? Uggghhhh!!!
I bought this awesome little bag from Zara. It's composed of both suede and leather. You know I love huge bags but this one was pretty roomy so I went ahead and snapped it up.

Outfit: Blazer: Zara; Blouse: H&M; Jeans: Forever 21; Bracelets: Charlotte Russe; Ring: Forever 21; Handbag: Zara; Heels: Steve Madden

Me and my bff Ann......our camera guy (who volunteered to take our pic) was horrid. Don't get me wrong, he was a nice guy, but two fashion loving females taking a pic ALWAYS require a full body shot.....GEESH!!!

My bff was stunning!!! Thank goodness we wear the same shoe size.....I'm gonna need those heels friend, lol.

Because we were celebrating her birthday, she got this fabulous desert made just for her.

Don't let vain folks hold your camera.....

Okay, I took a pic of my food after I started eating it so it doesn't look appetizing right here, but I promise it was absolutely delicious!!! When I go back I'm getting the exact same dish. I think I had the grouper...I think.

The lobster potstickers were nothing to write home about........

.......neither were the calamari. They were okay, but they were super sweet and to me, that took away from the natural seafood flavor.

My mom, her son, and my grandmom and aunt (who's not in the pic) also joined us. We had a great time!

Happy Birthday friend!

Au revoir!
