It's Trendy

Greetings Fashionistas,

I am going to cover some fab, wearable trends for Fall 2010......late is better than never right? I know part of the country is already experiencing those cooler temps so I'm gonna finally join everyone else and provide you with a quick rundown on some tends that you're seeing in stores now.

First up is............Fur

Fur is big this fall/winter and I've been seeing it every where. Check out a couple of celebrity inspirations below.

On the left, Kim K complements her fitted dress with a fur vest. Ciara looks fab and on trend in a fur lined jacket.

For you brave divas.....here are some options to incorporate this trend.

Tod's G-Bag Easy Sacca
Lipsy Faux Fur Leopard Coat
$131.02 (on sale) http://www.asos.com/

Faux Lamb Fur Coat
Beast Scarf $49.00 http://www.rachelroy.com/

I think I want to get a long fur vest. I'm feeling real badass this season. LOL!

Next up in our trend coverage is Chunky Knit Scarves

Not only are these fab accessories capable of keeping you warm, they also are a great way to update an old coat or brighten up a drab outfit (not that you guys wear anything drab ;-) )

I love scarves...during the winter, spring, summer, and fall. They're really handy when you're not inspired. Just throw on a scarf with a tee and jeans and you're set.

Black isn't the only neutral this fall. The color gray is a great blank canvas to work with as well as accessorize with. Check out some styles below that you can incorporate in your wardrobe this season.

Studded stretch leather skinny

$39.90 http://www.alloy.com/

Restricted Combat $69.99 http://www.piperlime.com/

Covet Modal Asymetrical Dress

Blue Life Wings of Desire Top

During the fall/winter I can mainly be found in gray and black. I try to do color but.......it just never seems to work out.

Now lets get into the military trend. I think this style can be classic or trendy. For the classic look, go with minimal details like round brass buttons and a traditional color like green or navy. For a more trendy style, choose a colorful style with lots of embellishments.

Royal Brigade Coat

Morimoto Military Inspired Necklace
$29.98 http://www.aldoshoes.com/

Willow & Clay Cotton Twill Military Jacket
$85.00 http://www.nordstrom.com/

Vancouver Military Bootie
$199.00 http://www.jildor.com/

Blank Skinny Cargo Pants
$78.00 http://www.bloomingdales.com/

I'm starting to really love skinny cargos. At first it was a big no....I'm super hippy so it won't flatter my shape but I do love to see the style on you lovely fashionistas.

Our final trend is my absolute favorite......lace up booties! I'm so obsessed with this trend that I've got to hold myself back from random purchases. These boots, like all boots, are very versatile. You can pair them with a form fitting dress, go with leggings and a long top and blazer, complement them with some skinny jeans and a chunky sweater, etc. Go with a look that fits well with your personal style.

Well that's it for our trend coverage.....finally. Sorry for the delay it's just so hot down here :( I don't know why I keep buying boots if I can't even wear them yet.....smh.
