Summer 2010 Swimwear

Greetings Fashionistas,

Oh my oh my, I didn't realize that I seriously neglected to do a summer 2010 swimwear post. Fab reader Melissa emailed me about some different styles because she's a little busty. I know it's well into summer, but it's not too late to explore some chic options. I'm glad that I have a couple of examples of what swimsuits work well for different body types. Well let's take a look at a few below.

Audrina Patridge showed off her bikini bod in this halter bandeau swimsuit.

Left: POLKA DOT BANDEAU HALTER
Middle: Color Splashed Bikini
$10.80 (top) and $9.80 (bottom) http://www.forever21.com/
Right: Heart Rhinestone Bandeau Halter Bikini

Bandeau tops are ideal for A to B cup sizes, if you're a little larger, try this style with a halter for added support.

Serena Williams frolicked on the shores of South Beach in Miami in her monokini

Left: O'Neill Read Between The Lines One Piece
$64.80 (on sale) http://www.zappos.com/
Middle: Cut-out ruffle monokini
Right: Xhilaration Juniors Monokini with Ruffles Swimsuit
$20.98 (on sale) http://www.target.com/
These one-pieces show a little skin in the "right" place. If you want to focus the attention on a certain area, choose a monokini that exposes skin around the abdomen to show off that hard worked 4 pack for example.

Kim Kardashian looks awesome in her purple halter while headed to the beach in Miami.

Black Halter: String Bikini $16.50 http://www.oldnavy.com/
White Halter: French Style bra and bottom
Green Halter: Bahama by Ujena Swimwear
A halter bikini is very useful for a large bust and I love how the bottoms are cut high and thus are very flattering for far more body types than any other bikini styles.

Last but certainly not least, are the body flattering swimsuits.

Mossimo Black Women's Shirred One Piece Swimsuit
$17.48 (on sale) http://www.target.com/
This suit is ideal for an ample chest and if your abdomen is a problem area. The ruffles are a flirty addition.

Tie-Front One-Piece Bandeau Swimsuit
The high cut bottom elongates the legs and the rouching is once again a pretty effective way to mask any problem areas along the abdomen.

Miraclesuit Mocha Haute Sanibel Swimsuit
This swimsuit alleges to make you look 10lbs lighter. Miraclesuit® swimwear is made of an amazing fabric called Miratex® with almost three times the Lycra® spandex content of most other swimwear to shape and flatter your figure without uncomfortable bulky linings.

Okay fashion fiends, what is your favorite style? Happy shopping!

Au revoir!

Great post.

I did one a while back on this exact same issue: the do's and don'ts of swimwear for a busty chick
