Old Navy Gives Back to Our Troops

To celebrate the 2010 Independence Day holiday weekend and honor troops overseas, Old Navy is exclusively partnering with Operation: Care and Comfort to support our Deployed Troops


ALL Old Navy stores across the country (1,000+) will host a donation drive to collect the items needed by men and women in our armed services serving in Iraq and Afghanistan .

Below is the complete list of items they are collecting:

- Underwear
- Undershirts
- T-shirts
- Socks
- Sunglasses
- Lip Balm
- Foot Powder
- Flip Flops

“Buy One, Send One” on Old Navy’s famous Flag Tees- for every Old Navy Flag Tee purchased in-store between July 1 and July 5, Old Navy will send one to our troops overseas, up to 500,000.




- Customers who participate by making a donation during the collection will receive a 10% discount off their entire purchase in-store that day.

- An under $10 troop essentials section will be available in the front of every store in hopes to encourage customers to purchase and donate.

o The brand offers 10% off to all service men and women when they shop in any Old Navy store from the 1st – 4th of every month.


About Operation: Care and Comfort
Since April 2003, the all-volunteer Operation: Care and Comfort Program, unique to the Silicon Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross, has shipped nearly 250 tons of care packages for distribution to Marine, Army, Air Force, and Coast Guard personnel deployed in conflict regions. Adopted military units receive care packages monthly, until they return home. Operation: Care and Comfort is a member of the Department of Defense “America Supports You” program, and has received national awards and recognition for its work on behalf of the military.
