Greetings Fashion Mavens,
So last night was the highly anticipated 2010 Met Costume Institute Gala in NYC. Now, to give you a little background, the Metropolitan Museum's annual gala is like homecoming for fashion lovers. The museum partnered with Vogue and Gap this year and opened their exhibit "American Woman: Fashioning a National Identity".
Some of the styles were very interesting and some fell flat. Personally, I wasn't overwhelmed by stunning gowns this year, which is NOT a good thing. Regardless, I do have some beloved garments that I've posted below. Enjoy!

Jennifer Lopez is regal in this gorgeous ball gown by Zuhair Murad. I absolutely love the metallic embroidery artfully displayed on the gown.
Janet Jackson rocks an interesting one shouldered look by Lanvin. Elegant and vampy!
Blake Lively looks great in this minidress by famed designers Marchesa. Her legs go on for miles in this beautifully crafted number. I seriously need that gown in my life.
Anne Hathaway floats like the wind in this lovely Valentino gown.
Kerry Washington is by far my favorite look of the night. She's just stunning in this Thakoon for Gap design. I absolutely LOVE the draping and "in your face" bold, red color!Well, that's all folks.
