Greetings Fashion Pad Readers,
Welcome back from the weekend. The big buzz over the weekend was what our Hollywood starlets were gonna rock on the red carpet last night. I must say, overall, I wasn't that impressed with the choice of gowns this season. I really was hoping to see some mind blowing, artistically divine art pieces last night. Even Penelope Cruz, who's famous for dawning the huge ball gowns on the red carpet, fell a little flat for me.
Oh well, at least I still can showcase my favorites of the evening. See below.

Queen Latifah in Badgley Mischka gown. This look was a bit safe but she looks stunning nonetheless and I love the embellished sleeve. Lilac looks really good on the Queen.
Miley Cyrus is rocking this Jenny Packham dress. I love the corset style bodice and multi-layered skirt with gold jewels throughout.
Jennifer Lopez looked gorgeous in this Armani Prive gown. The minimal jewels are perfect.
I loved Gabourey Sidibe's Marchesa gown. Blue is my favorite and looks wonderful on her. Marchesa ruled the red carpet by the way. Gabourey's hair and makeup was beautiful as well.

Anika Noni Rose's dress is so lovely. I think the bodice is a piece of art! However, I cannot find who makes her dress. If anyone knows drop me a line in the comments section.
Cameron Diaz rocked the old Hollywood glamour look in this dashing Oscar de la Renta gown.
Sandra Bullock was liquid fire in this satin Marchesa gown. She could have been washed completely out due to her pale skin, but the ruby red lips and heavy liner are a great complement and liven up her look.
Au revoir!
After much debate, and looking at this gown from different angles, I proclaim my absolute favorite gown of the night to be this Givenchy Couture gown worn fabulously by Zoe Saldana. This dress has all the great elements: beautiful design aesthetic, gorgeous color(s), large hemline, and the ability to elicit ooos and ahhhs. LOL!
Au revoir!
