Greetings,
The cold front has finally hit the sunshine state and I'm getting ready to break out the knits. Now it doesn't get too cold so layering is a bit excessive here. Unless I layer something like a long-sleeved shirt, cardigan, and a light jacket, I will pass out by 3pm. So, I invest in really cute knit sweaters because they're rarely covered by a jacket. I've been looking to update my inventory so I've scouted some serious contenders below.
For bulky sweaters, I would suggest belting the look with a thin belt. Just because it's winter doesn't mean we have to lose our shapes.
Left: Off The Shoulder Lurex Top
$110.00 http://www.jbandme.com/
Right: Autumn V Neck Sweater
$14.80 http://www.forever21.com/
The two-tone design is striking on the Lurex top. The v-neck sweater is surprisingly comfy and the price point is very alluring.
Top: Baba Alice Dolman Sleeve Sweater
$63.00 http://www.yesstyle.com/
Bottom: Silk-Blend Wrap Sweater
$30.00 (on sale) http://www.spiegel.com/
I love the dolman sleeve sweater and I would pair with skinny jeans or straight leg jeans so the silhouette won't appear bulky. The rich mustard color of the wrap sweater is beautiful and will certainly brighten my day at work.
Top: Mike and Chris Floyd Neck Tie Zip Up Sweater
$220.00 http://www.ssense.com/
Bottom: Karoo Cashmere Ruffle Back Crew Neck Sweater
$175.00 http://www.bluefly.com/
The tie zip up is really unique and I love the pocket details. The ruffle back of the crew neck sweater will leave a stylish impression.
Left: Merino wool plunging-back cowlneck sweater
Right: Theory Roland Cashmere Sweater
$335.00 http://www.shopbop.com/
I would pair the cowl neck sweater with either slacks or a pencil skirt for a holiday party. The cashmere sweater would make a fashionable statement for a night out on the town.
TTFN!
